The Power of Forgiveness: Healing Yourself from Within
Should we forgive someone who has hurt us? In my opinion, we should absolutely forgive and move forward. Although sometimes situations arise where there is nothing like an apology, forgiveness should still be given. How long will you carry the burden thinking, “They hurt me and I can never forgive them”?
Look, forgiveness is not about telling them face to face. That kind of forgiveness is not true forgiveness. True forgiveness comes from the inner soul. Because when you forgive from the soul, your mind itself becomes lighter and calmer. This means that if you keep carrying it as a burden your whole life, you will become weak inside.
Externally, we can build strength in the body, exercise, or achieve things, but if you become weak inside, no one can stop you from breaking. See, breaking is the law of the world, but rising again after breaking is also the law of the world. If you wish, you can rise again. Look, what has happened cannot be reversed. Some words pierce the heart like arrows, but still, forgiveness should be given. Through forgiveness, you get satisfaction.
Nothing in this world is permanent. Everything changes. Just as you were born, then grew up, then became a teenager, then marriageable, then had children, then grew old, and finally, one day, you die. Before dying, if you forgive, it is very good. No matter how badly someone treated you, you should forgive, so that they also feel regret in their heart and think, “I should not have done that, I regret treating them so badly.”
When you forgive someone, they realize, “I did so much to them, and yet they forgave me so easily. How can someone be so kind, patient, and humble?”
Okay, the discussion ends here, but what God has taught you is patience first. Then God taught you kindness. Be merciful to all. Then God taught you that no matter what someone did to you, if you forgive, you become like iron or gold. Iron and gold must pass through fire to take shape. It means that a test by fire is necessary. Only then does gold take its form, only then do things become something valuable.
Let me tell a small story: there were two marbles. One day, a sculptor came to make statues from them. The first, bigger marble was hit by hammer and chisel, but it broke easily. It could not be used for the statue. The second marble did not break, remained upright, and preserved its patience. Storms and blows could not damage it, and eventually, it became a statue. The broken marble was placed on temple steps. People asked it, “Are we both the same?” The marble replied, “You broke, but I remained strong.”
The meaning is: breaking is natural, but remaining upright is great patience. Yes, some things in life cannot be forgiven under any circumstances. But how long will you carry the burden in your mind? One day, you too will die, and the one who did wrong will also face the results.
Remember, every action has consequences. If you plant a seed and nurture it with care, it bears fruit. If you plant a seed and neglect it, no fruit comes. This is karma: as you sow, so shall you reap. Whether good or bad, it comes back to you. If you are suffering today, happiness will come tomorrow. If you are happy today, sorrow will come tomorrow. Life must maintain balance.
You can achieve everything you are entitled to, and it depends on you, not anyone else. The greatest person is not the one who has done something, but the one who has endured and had the strength to forgive. So forgive, forget, and move forward. Life’s journey is long, at least until you are alive.
Thank you so much. If any of my words hurt you, I apologize. If any word of mine broke your heart, I am very, very sorry. But still, I say, forgive. It is like lightening the heart. Thank you 🤗
