Karva Chauth — The Indian Festival of True Love and Faith

๐ŸŒ•✨ The Divine Story of Karva Chauth — The Tale of Goddess Chauth, Shiva–Parvati, and True Love

Now, if you have heard or read the story, then you must have understood what love truly means — careful love, purity, faithfulness, loyalty.

In India, when relationships are made, they are not just between two people — it’s said that in every true bond, there is only one soul in two bodies.
Because you must have heard — in Lord Shiva’s left side resides Goddess Parvati, and in Goddess Parvati’s right side resides Lord Shiva.

That means they are one — not two.

In Indian marriage, there are seven sacred rounds, saat phere, and when the marriage mantras are recited, the couple is bound not only for one life but for seven births.
It means — if ever we are born again, may I find only you — as my husband, as my wife, or as my partner — in any form, but only you.

That’s the essence.
On this day, women keep a fast for the long life of their husbands — but this is not an ordinary fast.

They wake up at 5 a.m. in the morning and eat a special meal called sargi (though in India it’s made differently in every region). After that, they don’t drink even a single drop of water or eat anything until night — until the moon appears in the sky.

They stay hungry and thirsty all day — for love.

So, the question is — what gives them the strength to stay hungry and thirsty the whole day?
The answer is love — because the greatest love in this world has no second.

> “Love itself is the truest worship.”

In this world, every culture celebrates different festivals in their own ways — all are beautiful, all are sacred.
But in India, when Karva Chauth is celebrated, it’s not just about prayer — it’s about love.

And now even husbands have started keeping the fast for their wives — even young boys and girls who aren’t married yet are doing it for each other.

Still, traditionally, it’s mainly for married women.

So the meaning is — what keeps you hungry and thirsty?
That’s love.

Many people make reels about love — but the one who actually lives it in real life is the one who knows what true love is.

In India, you can understand this love through divine examples —
Radha loved only Krishna, Krishna loved only Radha.
Parvati, who is also known as Sati, loved only Shiva, and Shiva belonged only to Sati.
Sita loved only Lord Ram, and Lord Ram loved only Sita — no one else.

All these are examples of love that survived separation, pain, and tests of time.

In ancient ages, lovers waited hundreds or even thousands of years in devotion — that was their love.

You may think — the one who performs the penance is the only one in pain.
But no — the one for whom the penance is done, they too suffer equally, waiting, yearning.

That’s the power of love — it cannot be limited to any object, form, or boundary.
Love is infinite.
It can happen anywhere, with anyone, at any time.

So I’ll say again —

> “The greatest thing in this world, even greater than love, is faith.”

Because if there is faith in love, that love becomes eternal and immortal.
But if love exists without faith — then it isn’t love at all.

Faith is the foundation that keeps two hearts together.

That’s why Karva Chauth is not only for husband and wife — it’s meaningful for every true lover who believes in pure love and loyalty.

If you’ve truly loved someone, then you’ll understand —

> “One heart, one soul, one person — forever.”

No matter what happens in the world, you’ll stay devoted only to them.

If you liked my words, thank you from my heart.
And if anything I said hurt you in any way — I’m very, very sorry. ๐Ÿ’ซ

If you know anyone who believes in true love, please share this story with them —
So that they, too, can feel and understand what real love truly means. ❤️

Thank you. ๐Ÿ™
