How to Achieve Mental Peace Along with Work

Today the topic we are going to talk about is Mental Peace. Nowadays a person is tired, but from where? Not from the body, but from the mind. Because nowadays more pressure is given on the mind than on the body. Every time there is a race to achieve something, every time comparison, every time competition, every time overthinking. A person is smiling from outside, but from inside he has already lost his peace.


Understanding Peace

First of all, you have to understand from what exactly you want peace. Do you want peace from external work? Do you want peace from a person? Do you want peace from this universe? Do you want peace from this worldly life? Do you want peace from the people living in this world? Or do you want peace from your work? Or do you want peace from yourself or within yourself?

There are two things — peace from yourself and peace within yourself. Everyone wants peace from themselves, but no one wants peace within themselves. It sounds strange, but to understand it deeply we first need to understand what peace actually is. What is that peace which we truly want?

Look, one day peace will definitely come, and it will come beautifully, so do not worry. But until then you have to live in this world. And while living in this world, there is only one path to gain peace — know yourself, understand yourself, lose yourself within yourself, meditate, do yoga, practice pranayama, practice pratyahara, do anulom-vilom, exercise. These can be some ways.


Spirituality

And the second way is, if you believe in God, then go towards spirituality. Believe in whatever form you want. Look, according to me, do not just worship God blindly, but apply His teachings, His words, His lessons into your life. And then see, you will get such peace that you never even imagined. You will feel a completely different experience from inside.

I have personally felt this experience, that is why I am sharing it with you. In this feeling, maybe you may forget this world, maybe you may cry, maybe you may become so emotional that you forget who you really are. But the truth is that one day you will have to know who you truly are. And for that you will have to practice discipline. You will have to discipline yourself.

The one who learns to handle himself completely, does not need any other support. Handling yourself does not mean stopping your desires. It means keeping control over them so that they do not wander here and there. Just like a charioteer keeps control over his horse, in the same way you have to become the charioteer of your own mind and keep control over it. Do not stop your desires. Do not suppress them. Try your best to fulfill them, but keep control over them so that they remain only desires and do not become an uncontrolled horse.


Social Media & Comparison

Now let us understand more. In today’s time, the biggest reason behind mental disturbance is social media comparison. And the biggest weapon is money, which everyone wants to earn in order to gain all comforts in life. This is not wrong.

The second thing is tension about the future. Look, worrying about the future is good, but getting lost in it and forgetting the present is not good. What has already happened cannot return, so forget the past. Prepare for the future, but do not get completely lost in it. Live in the present. Look around yourself and see what small thing can make you happy right now, whether it is playing, walking, or anything else.


Relationship Stress

The next thing is relationship stress. Nowadays relationships have become like changing clothes. One cloth is worn, then changed, then another one is worn. Relationships are not like this. Relationship means maintaining it. “Ship” means carrying it together. Staying connected in relationships is a good thing, but again I will say the same thing — keep control.

Control does not mean controlling another person. Control means controlling yourself. If you try to control others, you will break. But if you control yourself, you will improve.


Money Pressure

The next reason is money pressure. Nowadays everyone wants to earn money, and honestly this is not optional. Even if you want to put one grain of food in your stomach, you still have to work for it. But in the race of earning money, do not lose your mental balance and mental peace. That is why you need to start working on yourself. Earning money is good, saving money is also good, but getting lost only in money is not good.


Overthinking

The next reason is overthinking, which is the root of all desires. Overthinking is such a thing that it forces you to think too much about “what will happen now?” Look, whatever will happen, will be seen then. That is how I think and live my life. As long as we are in this world, why should we not live fully? Why should we not fulfill our desires?

Desires are not fulfilled only by money. They can also be fulfilled without money if you have intelligence. You think, “I do not have money, so how can I travel?” You do not need to go somewhere far. Even walking around the area where you live is also a very big thing. Actually, we lock ourselves inside our homes as if we are in prison.


People Pleasing

Another habit is the habit of making people happy. Making people happy is not wrong, it is actually a very beautiful thing. But before that you should think whether you yourself are happy or not. Are you happy with yourself? Are you happy within yourself? Learn to make yourself happy first.

We have handed over our happiness into other people’s hands. What will people think? Who moved ahead? Who has more money? All these thoughts steal a person’s mental peace.


Solutions

Now let us talk about solutions. The biggest thing is — learn to spend time alone. Learn something new, create something new, do something different. Giving an immediate answer to everything is also not good. Before answering any question, think a hundred times, analyze it, and then answer.

If possible, try to create some distance from the phone or laptop you are holding right now. Spend some time in nature, wherever there are trees, forests, or open places around you. Sit there peacefully and feel the silence.

Meditate. In meditation you do not need to do anything special. Just know yourself and lose yourself within yourself. If songs make you feel good, then listen to songs. Learn to love yourself and stop comparing yourself with others.

You think, “I do not have this, but he has it, he must be so happy.” The person with a bike thinks the person with a car is happier. The person with a car thinks the person with a Lamborghini is happier. The Lamborghini owner thinks the private jet owner is happier. The private jet owner thinks the yacht owner is happier. And the yacht owner thinks, “I have everything, but I still do not have mental peace.”

That means everyone’s life has some struggle. Everyone’s peace is disturbed until they truly try to find peace. Mental peace never comes from outside. It comes only when a person learns to fight with himself instead of running away from himself.


Acceptance

When a person stops trying to make everyone happy, when he stops comparison, when he learns to accept himself, then remember — in the end, peace will definitely come. Peace does not mean that life has no problems. Problems will always exist. Peace means staying among problems without losing yourself.


My Personal Experience

Now let me tell you my personal experience so that it becomes easier for you to understand how to achieve mental peace while working. The thing from which I get peace, I will tell you honestly. Actually, I am a spiritual person, although many people may not be spiritual, and many may even be atheists. But there are solutions for them too.

First, understand what truly gives you happiness and start doing it. But also remember whether that thing is beneficial for you or harmful for you.

The second thing is listening to songs. Whenever you feel stress, listen to songs.

The third thing is writing in a book or diary. Write everything. Write new thoughts.

The fourth thing is meditation. Many times during meditation I personally felt tears coming out, becoming emotional, disconnecting from this world, and entering another world completely. You can also understand it this way — in the cycle of birth and death we forget our real home, we forget who we truly are. Spirituality is one path to remember that.

And for those who are not spiritual, there are many other ways too. Listen to songs, meditate if you want, think scientifically, learn new things like Artificial Intelligence, try doing something new, go outside the house, wake up early in the morning and go for a walk. The time between 3 AM to 5 AM or 4 AM to 5 AM is a very beautiful time. Breathe that air. Do things that make you happy, but always remember — do only those things which benefit you, not harm you.

Final Experience

And finally, according to my experience, the only solution for mental peace is — peace itself. Calm down. It is not necessary to answer every question every time. Learn to stay calm. Learn to remain silent. That is the real peace. That is real mental peace. Stay happy with yourself. Stay happy within yourself. That is true peace. That itself is the answer to your question.
